How did you first become friends with Jennifer?
We met over a decade ago through a mutual publishing friend. Then saw each other again in 2001 when my family was taking a year long RV trip around America. I spoke at a church in Springfield and Jennifer (Rothschild) came to see me. We kept in touch, especially at LifeWay Bible Study Teachers events. We drew closer about five years ago when her “Lessons I Learned In The Dark” really ministered to me during a dark time in my own life.
What is your favourite thing to do when you have some free time?
Read!!!
What is your favourite food?
A deliciously, fresh salad with lots of ingredients.
What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading “Falling Upward” by Richard Rohr. Anything by him is now a current favorite.
How did you come to be on the Women of Faith permanent speaker team?
I don’t know…grace of God is my best guess.
Do you find it difficult to being recognized everywhere you go?
Yes, I don’t like it. I’m shy by nature…that is why my mom put me in an acting class when I was a little girl. It makes me feel uncomfortable.
What are your favourite TV programmes?
I am addicted to the television show, “Survivor.”
Who has been the greatest spiritual influence on you?
So many…Beth Moore, Jack Hayford, Stormie Omartian, Richard Rohr, Ney Bailey…Jennifer Rothschild.
Is there a scripture that’s been key to your life?
Proverbs 3:5-6 has been my life verse since I became a Christian at the age of 10.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
What do you always carry in your handbag?
My cellphone.
What are the 5 most important things on your ‘To Do’ list?
You mean, today?
- Grocery store.
- Buy Mandisa’s new CD for daughters.
- Ship ebay items I sold.
- Clean up closet floor.
- Watch “Survivor.”
What do you most appreciate about your life?
The grace of God in every area.
Who’s your favourite Bible character?
It’s a tie between John and David.
What makes you smile?
My children.

- Sound? My toddlers walking in feety pajamas.

- Technology you couldn’t live without? GPS. I might could live without it but I would definitely be lost without it.
